Two-time GRAMMY® award winning duo for KING & COUNTRY has again reached the top of Billboard's Christian Airplay chart with the title track from the duo's critically acclaimed album burn the ships. The track, which marks Joel and Luke Smallbone's sixth career No. 1 hit and third stemming from their latest album, saw an increase to 11.5 million Christian radio audience impressions. A song with a meaningful and heartfelt story, for KING & COUNTRY dig deeper into themes featured predominantly on the album, including sacrifice, desperation, forgiveness, and ultimately hope and elation.
Luke Smallbone, one half of for KING & COUNTRY, told Jim Asker of Billboard, "'Burn the Ships' is deeply personal for my wife and me and, I've got to admit, I wasn't sure how a song about the struggle of addiction would be accepted by people. I'm incredibly grateful and humbled because this song wouldn't exist if not for my wife's honesty, transparency and strength."
