Adrian Dunn Presents New Gospel Collection "Redemption Live"
Critically acclaimed multi genre artist, singer, songwriter, arranger and producer Adrian Dunn flanked by his powerful cadre of singers, The Adrian Dunn Singers continue to redefine and celebrate the wealth of history and legacy in the African American spiritual with the release of the highly anticipated disc Redemption: LIVE.
Recorded live before a capacity crowd in Chicago, Illinois, Redemption: LIVE is a collection of 11 spirituals and gospel songs with accompanying spoken word pieces dedicated to the memory of Black men murdered by police. Each song has a powerful message in the context of the preservation and importance of Black lives as well as offering perspective on our nation's history of slavery through the contemporary lens of the modern spiritual. This work in its entirety reimagines what the spiritual can be. The live recording captures the essence and passion of guest artists that include Keshia McFarland, Pastor DeAndre Patterson and others against the backdrop of the melodic and core shaking sounds of a Gospel choir, The Adrian Dunn Singers & the Rise Orchestra.
The Adrian Dunn Singers Black Lives Matter Tour 2020 kicks in high gear with celebrated performances at the City of Chicago Dr. Martin Luther King ecumenical breakfast and an MLK performance with the Chicago Sinfonietta. Additional tour stops include Florida, Ohio, California, Indianapolis and Atlanta all leading to the Chicago CD release concert taking place on February 7th at the Logan Center on the campus of the University of Chicago.
Redemption Live is available now for pre order and hits digital outlets on February 1st.
