Darius Twyman to Release New Single "We are Family, We are Friends"
Singer, songwriter, worship leader and musician Darius Twyman is strategically poised to pick up where he left off reintroducing scores of Gospel music lovers to the distinct sounds of his ensemble, Destiny, with the release of their new single, "We are Family, We are Friends," hitting digital outlets on January 31st.
The Detroit native made an indelible impression on Gospel music as co-founder of former Tyscot Records recording choir Abundant Life Fellowship Chorale, penning such church choir staples as None But The Righteous, Got 2 Tell It and Simply Determined. Twyman would go on and later organize a new group with the name Destiny. A uniquely gifted ensemble coming from various cities around the Detroit area, Destiny delivered their message in the tradition of Detroit choirs of long ago. Twyman is not lost on the choir's mission.
"Destiny's sole purpose is to minister to the lost, encourage and uplift humanity and touch the broken hearted," explains Darius.
Deatiny's gift has made room for them, affording them various opportunities to share the stages with Rudolph Stanfield, the Michael Fletcher Chorale, Kim Burrell, Karen Clark Sheard, Dorinda Clark Cole, Lexi, Evelyn Turntinne-Agee, and a myriad of others. Their debut disc Fulfilling My Destiny produced the now classic , Movin' Up, Coming Soon, and the ever popular I've Got A Job.
We are Family, We are Friends is the latest offering from Darius Twyman and Destiny and positions the group to continue their God given assignment to take the message everywhere.
