Sidewalk Prophets Reschedules “Great Big Family Reunion” at Ryman Auditorium
Sidewalk Prophets has rescheduled their sold-out show at the Ryman Auditorium to July 5, 2020. Fans can tune in to watch the band perform their next release, "Real To Me," live on socials tonight at 10 PM CST, while the track releases across all DSPs tomorrow, March 20, 2020. Listen to "Real To Me" HERE.
Due to COVID-19 concerns, the band has postponed their upcoming sold-out headlining debut at Nashville's historic Ryman Auditorium originally scheduled for this Sunday, March 22, 2020. The "Great Big Family Reunion" has been rescheduled for July 5, 2020. All tickets will be honored at the new date. If fans previously registered for the event via Ticketmaster's Verified Fan platform and can no longer attend, they should log in to their Ticketmaster account to return/cancel their complimentary ticket so that any unused tickets can be claimed by other fans. More information is available at www.sidewalkprophets.com.
"With all of the chaos that has ensued over the past week or two, we are slowly seeing some very hard truths about the current condition of society," shares Sidewalk Prophets lead singer Dave Frey. "While the reality of this situation can be scary and isolating, it is also giving us a fairly clear indication of the areas we need to work through together. That is probably the most important lesson we are learning right now; it isn't about 'me/I,' it is about 'we/us'. We are one Great Big Family, and God created us to be that. Let's use this time to come together, lift each other up, and illuminate the darkness with the hope of Christ."
In light of the cancellation of March 22's show, as well as many people practicing social distancing, the band has decided to spread joy to fans right at home - they will debut "Real To Me" with a live performance across their social media tonight, March 19, 2020 @ 10 PM CST. Fans can watch the performance live on Instagram via @sidewalkprophets, on Facebook at facebook.com/sidewalkprophets, and on YouTube at YouTube.com/user/sidewalkprophets.
Fans can still hear new music from Sidewalk Prophets; "Real To Me" is the fourth new song the band has previewed from their upcoming album. They have already released instant grat tracks "Chosen," "The Comment Section," and their Top 15 hit, "Smile." The new track will be featured on the band's highly-anticipated album, The Things That Got Us Here, releasing May 22, 2020. Listen to "Real To Me" HERE.
"This song is very personal to the band. If we hide the fact that we ever doubted, then those with doubts wouldn't feel like somebody knows what they're dealing with. If we hide our inadequacies, then we are held in such high regard that we will inevitably fall...hard," Sidewalk Prophets frontman Dave Frey says of "Real To Me." "So instead, we choose to sing about and celebrate the questions, the trials, the miles, and the days of doubt and fear, because they truly are the things that make us who we are. They are the things that got us here."
