LG's Newest Smartphone Optimus 7 Causing Ripples In the Market: Specs, reviews and recomendations
Now there is no doubt that in the technology market and field being on top of the game comes in handy on how products do in this harsh market. Now LG has not been left behind with making sure that you always have something new to look forward too when it comes to their phones.
The LG Optimus 7 is their latest phone and I must say that they are keeping other phone makers on their toes. Being positioned at the higher end of the company entry level line up this phone is with no doubt the company's gem. LG have been able to achieve a balance between performance and amenities with a toothsome price and yes I would say that they have been able to rise to the challenge.
Note the phones hardware is very attractive. With the L-style it places it as modern, and sophisticated making you love it by just looking at it. It has a boxy face with large black borders and subtle chrome like trim that makes it very comfortable in the hand. This is also because it has a textured plastic cover that gives it a slimmer illusion in which its actual thickness is 8.7mm thick. The Optimus L7 sports a physical home button. On its rear it has the horizontal camera pod struts that it elegant with its metallic finish.
The phone also has an Adreno 200 GPU, a 5-megapixel camera and HSPA network speeds that top out at 7.2Mbp. It might not be the fastest phone out there, however, the Optimus L7 does perform well and is very pretty. With the 4.3 inch NOVA display at 800 x 480 resolution. It's also based on the TFT-LCD technology. The phone can be used under direct sunlight when the brightness is done well up. Users can also view texts, colors are vibrant and sadly are rather crispy. The screen lacks an ambient light sensor sadly hence making users adjust brightness manually so as to suit their surroundings. This was a really huge let down when it comes to the Optimus screen features all the same.
As for the battery life the Optimus is slow when it comes to its battery charging. This is due to its large Qualcomm MSM7227. A chipset that is based on the Snapdragon S1 platform. When it comes to its overall performance it does perform better than the Optimus 2X due to its outstanding performance in the I/O category on the Quadrant test. As for areas like graphics and CPU memory it is more or less like the Nexus S phone.
The software on the other hand, it has the ice cream sandwich Android with an interesting twist known as UI3.0. This new software introduces new functionality that offers a cleaner look. The new lock screen allows you to swipe direct to unlock device and also bringing you back to quick access to four customized apps with also three different clocks. LG Optimus also adds an honest improvement on the Ice Cream Sandwich that is the quick settings menu in the notification tray. You can customize it but when working on default you can control the Bluetooth, sound, Wi-Fi and GPA.
Now this phone has a lot to offer from its software, its looks, its camera and much more. If you are in the market for a phone that will offer you with all the above aspects then the Optimus L7 fits the bill for you. We look forward to seeing what LG will give us next.
