Josh Wilson is Impacting the Charts with "Revolutionary"
Black River Christian artist Josh Wilson's current single, "Revolutionary," is a song perfectly timed to be heard during this season of unprecedented times. Continuing to climb the charts each week, it is currently No. 14 on the Billboard Christian Airplay and up an astounding 157% from last week with more than 80 stations spinning the song. Digital platforms have also gravitated to the song as it is included on some of the top playlists on Amazon Music (Christian Hits), Apple Music, Pandora (Christian Contemporary), Spotify (Top Christian) and YouTube Music (Christian Hits).
"'Revolutionary' is all about kindness," Wilson shares, who co-wrote the song with Steve Fee, James Tealy and Jason Mater. Wilson continues, "I believe that kindness matters. It's so easy to get caught up in all of the negativity we see in the world and on the news, and this song is a reminder that we are called to more than that. We're called to love as Christ has loved us. I am so encouraged by the acts of kindness I've seen recently, even amidst a worldwide pandemic, even in an election year. In many ways, our struggles are actually bringing us together. We're learning that we all have a lot more in common than we thought, and it's beautiful to see the ways people are serving each other. The lyrics are a prayer for God, through us, to start a revolution of kindness. Will you join us?"
Reviews have poured in as well. Denise Harper of The Bridge radio recently shared, "This song, in my opinion, is a whole new level for Josh. I've long called Josh one of the industry's 'unsung heroes.' Incredible lyrics. His songs emotionally connect to our listeners. But this song...is the trifecta of powerful truth, massive musicality, and the heart of a world changer."
Sarah Taylor from KCMS Radio/Seattle says, "The perfect up-tempo summer song with a message for this moment." Check out Josh Wilson's website for a list of his current social distancing safe concerts and information.
