Paul Cardall's "The Broken Miracle" Coming February 5

Paul Cardall

Anthem Records' Dove Award-winning instrumentalist and composer, Paul Cardall, announced the release date for his upcoming memoir-based album, The Broken Miracle. On February 5, the project will be available globally. Pre-save/sale launches today with two special focus tracks, featuring collaborations with multi-platinum selling artists David Archuleta and Thompson Square.

"All I See Is Snow" was co-written by Cardall and Keifer Thompson of Thompson Square. The brand-new Christmas song is accompanied by a performance video to be released next week. "Although I'm known for my instrumental arrangements, I'm a huge fan of country music," says Cardall. "Keifer and I have often talked about collaborating. Recently, I shared my personal story with him. Each of us had experienced a lot of grief from losing loved ones. The music and lyrics for "All I See Is Snow" flowed out of us like pure inspiration. Because of our personal experiences and the ability to dial into a universal human emotion, that tune was a gift to both of us. So many people go into the holidays excited while many experience loneliness, grief, stress, and even depression. "All I See Is Snow" feels like a Covid-Christmas song, but the beauty in what we do is to write in hope and encourage people that things will get better."

The second focus track, "My Heart Beats For You," features the soaring vocals of David Archuleta alongside Cardall's piano performance, and also was captured for video which will premiere next week. "Because David and I share a lot of the same fans, I've had hundreds of requests over the years to collaborate with him," adds Cardall. "Although we both grew up in Utah, worked together on a charity endeavor, and ultimately moved to Nashville, we haven't had the opportunity to work together musically until now. I co-wrote the song with a couple of wonderful songwriters in Craig Wilson and John Lane, then David added his magic to it."

Cardall's evolution as an artist continues with the release of The Broken Miracle, a title inspired by his true-to-life story of being born with a congenital heart defect, which nearly took his life numerous times. Cardall received a heart transplant 10 years ago and continues to thrive as a father, husband and artist. The Broken Miracle will also be released as a biographical fiction novel written by J.D. Netto. The book will be released February 2.
