Asarela Releases Her Debut Worship Album "I Believe"
Belgian worship leader and contemporary Christian music singer-songwriter Asarela has released her debut worship album I Believe. The album was born out of a heart of worship. All the songs came out of Asarela's close relationship with God.
She writes: "In the past years I've been going through many different seasons. There were a lot of joyful seasons, but also painful seasons, where I had to deal with loss, grieve and inner healing. In this journey my relationship with God became stronger. I have come to know Him as a good Father and Friend, but I have also come to know Him as my Healer and Provider. From this place of deep intimacy with God, I have written each song. It was my desire to be vulnerable and honest. This is why 'I believe' is not just an ordinary album, but one that speaks from a heart that is moved by the power and love of God."
At the age of 22, Asarela faced a major loss. The death of her mother. In her grief and sorrow she sought God and found comfort in Him. It helped her enormously to write down her feelings and process them in melody, music and singing.
In the following years God began to speak and reveal Himself more clear to Asarela. God's plan and vision for her life took shape and grew. For 7 years Asarela served as a worship leader in the church they were part of. In february 2016 she and her husband started their church Worship & Grace. While they pastor together, Asarela is also the worship director and leader in the church. Besides all this, Asarela is often asked to lead worship at Christian events such as conferences and church services.
On a prophetic day in 2019 she came in contact with a couple who heard her sing. They saw the potential in her and from this grew the idea to record an album. Asarela finally released her first full album called I Believe.
"It is my prayer that, as you listen to this album, you will discover the goodness of God. That you will find new strength and new hope. I believe it will bring healing to you in the areas of your life where you need it most. I pray that you may discover that God is faithful. That He is for you and will guide you through every situation just as He does with me. It doesn't matter where you come from or where you are in life right now. He wants to meet you right where you are and just as you are."
