Brian Doerksen Announces Easter Musical and New Album of Hymns
Brian Doerksen, best known for his classic worship songs such as "Refiner's Fire" and "Come Now is the Time to Worship," has produced a musical special that helps us celebrate Easter. Easter at the Shining Rose is now available (click HERE). The musical features songs like "Scars On His Hands," "On That Sunday Morning," and re-introduces the classics "Light The Fire Again" & "Come Now Is The Time To Worship" in their original style.
As a bonus treat, you will also hear Doerksen sing 3 hymns from his new album Hymns For Life including current single "I Heard The Voice" along with "'It Is Well" and "Morning Has Broken." You will also get meet storytellers Jimmy Yi (star from the stage version of 'Kim's Convenience'), Joyce Rees & Marika Siewert.
The special premieres live on Palm Sunday March 28. Ticket holders can watch it throughout Passion week until the end of Easter Monday. There are 3 ticket price options based on what you want to pay plus a VIP All Access ticket.
Meanwhile, Doerksen has also released his new 10th solo album Hymns For Life. On this new record, he shares his signature version of life affirming hymns like "This Is My Father's World" and "Just as I Am." You can purchase the new album HERE.
Doerksen writes: "When we go through suffering individually or collectively, hymns are anchors of hope in the storm. These hymns have comforted believers for generations and this new recording, featuring lush orchestral arrangements, a children's choir and Brian's full band renews them for the next generation."
