Singer Heather Williams welcomes a baby boy
Rock/pop singer Heather Williams announced today through her Facebook page that she and her family welcomed a baby boy.
Williams named the baby Luke Timothy Williams. The baby was born at 7lbs 12oz 19 in according to the Williams’ posting.
Williams commented her newborn son saying that he is “cute as a button and sweet as all get out ♥ God is so good!”
Along with the announcement, Heather Williams attached a photo of her holding the baby.
Williams released her latest full-length record in 2011 under the name This time around. A 10-track album contains songs such as “Hallelujah,” and “God is still God.”
The life and songs of Williams are truly a testimony to the grace of God. Williams was born to her birth mother and a stepfather. She was abused in childhood and at age 11 her mother gave her up. Williams then lived with her grandfather and later was adopted by her aunt and uncle who are now her legal parents.
Experiencing rejection and abuse in her life, she turned to drugs as a teen and found herself homeless.
Her life turned around at age of 18 when she gave her life to Jesus Christ. Williams remembers, “When I was 18, I was going through a whole series of events where I was really rejecting God and blaming Him for everything that had taken place in my childhood. I came to this place where it was either, OK, I’m going to give my life to God, or I just don’t know if I’m going to live. So, I walked up that aisle at that church, and I gave my life to God.”
