Noel Robinson Shares the Story Behind "You Are Unrivalled"
UK-based worship leader and songwriter Noel Robinson has just released his brand new single "You Are Unrivalled." In the midst of the pandemic where our circumstances are constantly changing, Robinson reminds us through this song that God remains unchallenged. He is still in control.
Robinson writes, "I am excited about this release that was birthed in response to the season we are in.My heart is that you will be encouraged and reminded of how sovereign God is in the affairs of our lives."
Speaking to Premier Gospel, Robinson reveals, "I don't think I could describe it in 5 words but I'd say; it's prophetic, it's significant and it's a dynamic song in that gives voice to a believer's heart. It speaks about the supremacy of God."
He goes on to explain how the song was birthed. "It was an interesting process as I was commissioned to originally write the song for Spring Harvest. This year's theme was "Unrivalled." The pandemic came and slowed down the process preventing things from happening in their given time so the song wasn't released by Spring Harvest.
I wasn't sure if the moment was missed, but God through providence in such a remarkable way made the recording of the song happen. I started writing the lyrics and melody at home then added bits of production to it with my long-time collaborator - Enoch John. The drums and bass were added in the studio, and then backing vocals recorded in the US."
Noel Robinson is a multi award winning, 5 times MOBO nominated songwriter/artist and music minister. A seasoned international artist travelling globally as a Revivalist and a custodian of multi-cultural worship. He can be seen regularly on church and concert platforms around the UK/Europe as well as featuring on GodTV and having his own Live music TV series 'Vox Collective' on TBNUK.
Robinson is also the founder of The Kingdom Worship Movement (KWM) and its flagship event "The Renewal Worship Encounters". He continues to work and be influential within the worship leaders fraternity, working with many of his peers like Graham Kendrick, Lara Martin, Israel Houghton, Ron Kenoly, Noel Richards, Mark Beswick, Godfrey Birtill, Matt Redman, Tim Hughes and Peter Wilson (Hillsong London), amongst others.
