Travis Ryan Reflects on the Message of Easter with "He's Alive"
Multi-dove nominated and ASCAP recognized #1 hit-songwriter Travis Ryan has captured the Easter message beautifully in his newly released song "He's Alive." Written by Richie Fike, Ryan, and Jordan Merritt, the hymn-like anthem recounts the resurrection story with a renewed urgency and engagement.
Ryan takes the time to reflect upon the importance of the Easter weekend. "He became sin who knew no sin to be our salvation and life! This day is wild, beautiful, and gruesome. I pray that you remember your sin, and if you follow the way of Jesus,
"I pray you will remember your Savior who hung on a rugged wooden cross and bled and died willingly. He is the resurrection and the life. Jesus died, He was buried, and three days later, He did the impossible; Jesus rose from the dead! He walked out of His grave and triumphed over death. Our reality today is that Jesus is alive! He is not here, he is risen! He's Alive!"
Ryan is a well respected Integrity Music staff writer and artist. He has had cuts with Newsboys, Phillips, Craig and Dean, All Sons and Daughters, Phil Wickham, Selah and more. He has collaborated with well-known leaders in the worship community like Matt Redman, Vertical Church, Elevation Worship, Darrell Evans, Ben Cantelon, Worship Central, Jared Anderson, Tim Timmons, Jason Ingram, Jennie Lee Riddle, Dustin Smith, Meredith Andrews, Michael Farren, and Brenton Brown to name just a few.
Ryan has now led worship for over a decade. He is as passionate about the name of Jesus on the lips of few as He is from the lips of thousands. He led worship at Saddleback in CA for seven years, and now serves on the outskirts of Nashville, TN as Sr. Worship Pastor over all global and national campuses of LifePoint Church, which is headquartered in Smyrna, TN.
