Darlene Zschech Honored with a Doctorate
Worship leader, pastor, author and songwriter Darlene Zschech received an honorary doctorate from Alphacrucis College in Sydney Australia last Saturday. Zschech, who is known for writing Hillsong's "Shout to the Lord," is being honored for her work in worship music where she has fronted Hillsong Worship for many years as their worship pastor. As a solo artist, she has had also worked with stalwarts such as William McDowell, Sinach, Michael W. Smith, Martin Smith, Graham Kendrick, Israel Houghton, and many others.
Zschech writes, "Today has been surreal.. THANKYOU @alphacruciscollege university for this Hon doctorate in ministry.. my heart is overflowing. This really belongs to Mark and my girls.. who have laboured alongside me, although without the fanfare, and with so much grace. It was also an honour to share this moment."
