Jesse Wilson "Chooses to Praise" After the Lost of His Baby
Gospel music singer and songwriter Jesse Wilson has just released his brand new single "I Choose to Praise." The song came after a tragedy when Wilson and his wife lost their baby girl.
He reveals, "`I Choose To Praise' was written around the time when my wife and I had just lost our baby girl, who was born early, at 20 weeks. Even though we were devastated, we made the decision that we'd still praise and be thankful to God because our story wasn't over.
"Like others who suffered loss and trials throughout scripture, we must learn that our circumstances should never dictate our praise. We were created to praise Him. So even if things aren't as we'd like them to be, we've got to be like David and say "I will yet praise Him;" I choose to praise!"
Wilson is a singer-songwriter from West Palm Beach, Florida. He's spent the last 15 years ministering at his local church, as well as all over the state with his former band, The Doorkeepers.
Wilson has a passion for writing and singing, but an even greater passion for sharing truth through the gift of song. His musical influences are artists like Kirk Franklin, Israel & New Breed, Jonathan McReynolds, and many others. He hopes that his music will educate, inspire, and strengthen others in their faith; so that they can be free and become who God called them to be.
