"Heart & Flesh," inspired by Psalm 84, was written by Leeland Mooring, Taya Gaukrodger, and Casey Moore. The song reminds the people of God that He is in the middle of the chaos and upheaval in our lives. "Heart & Flesh" resonates in the tension, that though we cannot always change our circumstances, we can focus on the One who can.
This is the first feature from Australian singer-songwriter TAYA outside of Hillsong and her own self-titled successful debut album. TAYA reflects, "As life continues to move at a pace that sometimes can feel hard to keep up with, I'm reminded over and over again what is truly most important. We were created to worship God, with hearts that deep down are searching for Him, wanting to respond to His goodness - even if we haven't realised yet whose handiwork we really are. These simple words are a sweet reminder that Jesus truly is the One I want, the One I need, the One my heart longs for and He never leaves the seeker lacking - those who search for Him will find Him.
"I hope that this song serves the people of God as a reminder that it is in our DNA to seek out and respond to God and that He can truly fulfill any desire, longing and searching - for He is the All Sufficient One."
