James Grear and Company Return with "I Wanna Say Thank You"
James Grear and Company express their heartfelt gratitude in their new single "I Wanna Say Thank You," featuring Maurette Brown Clark. The song, composed by Pharis Evans, Jr. , marks the group's return to the recording scene after a six year hiatus and has been warmly embraced by audiences entering the top 50 at radio this week.
Grear gathers the company for a live video recording this week and brings together special guests Maurette Brown Clark , Zacardi Cortez, Earnest Pugh, LaSha Knox and the incomparable Kim Burrell as guests. Plans are in the works for a full album release as "Thank You" is available for pre order on all digital service outlets on Friday, September 23rd.
"If we learned nothing else during this pandemic time, we learned how to be grateful, "Grear states. "We have experienced first hand the mercies of God as we have had to regroup and reassess, this song just speaks the sentiments of my heart, Thank You For ALL That You've done Thus Far. God has sustained and supported us, and we are nothing without him. My friend Maurette Brown Clark is the icing on the cake. I am so grateful for the response we have had on this song.:
"James Grear validates that thank you opens doors", says Blacksmoke Music Worldwide Visionary and CEO Kerry Douglas. "Its a winning combination, a great songwriter, Pharis Evans, Jr. has written a song and Marutte Brown Clark sings with such passion, for a minute there you would think SHE wrote it, but that's who she is and how she delivers. Backed by James and his ensemble which can sing you the alphabet and make you say Lord, Have Mercy, These words hit your heart and make you holler Thank You Jesus."
