Andrew Ripp Reveals the Muse Behind His New Song "Made for This"
Soulful singer, songwriter, and GRAMMY Award® nominee Andrew Ripp has just released his brand new single "Made for This." The song was written by Ripp and Ethan Hulse, a three-time GRAMMY Award nominee and longtime writing partner of Ripp's. The song speaks about what God can do in our lives.
The people ain't ready for what's coming their way
They've been thinkin in black & white but you're a technicolor parade
How'd I get so lucky to be sitting front row
I know I don't gotta be the one to tell you what I know you already know
You were made, you were made, you were made, you were made for this
You make something impossible look so effortless
It's what you're born to do
And the whole world's sitting back watching you like oh
You were made, you were made, you were made, you were made for this
Ripp reveals that wife Carly is the muse behind the new track. He writes,"Inspired by the one and only Carly Ripp. I've had a front row seat watching her pursue and master her craft of interior design over the last decade. I'm consistently blown away by how much care and attention she puts in to each one of her projects. But most of all... watching her put being Francy queens momma above everything else has been beautiful. Love ya babe."
Ripp also shares a little nugget about the writing process. "While we recorded this one there was a 2000 lb moose laying down outside the window of the living room we were writing in. We're talking 10 feet away. I'll post some photos... Something we will never forget."
Ripp is a GRAMMY Award-nominated soulful singer-songwriter based in Nashville, Tennessee with his wife and daughter. He celebrated his twelve-year sober anniversary this past January. He has been described by ABC.com as "a talented artist that creates music that other musicians respect, fans have waited for, and newcomers will fall in love with."
In his career, he has shared the stage with Andy Grammer, Sara Bareilles, NEEDTOBREATHE, Plain White T's, and Jon Foreman, and his music has been featured on "American Idol," "House of Lies," "One Tree Hill," and "Vampire Diaries."
