Check Out Melvin Crispell III's New Single "Alright"
Dove and Stellar Award nominated artist, Melvin Crispell III, has released his latest single and lyric video for "Alright." The 2019 BET's "Sunday Best" winner delivers this first single "Alright" for 2023 from his upcoming sophomore album, No Failure. "Alright," sends an uplifting message of hope that there is a path to happiness despite hardship. Melvin, who has gone through the pain of loss, expresses his story of healing through the power of music and God. As Melvin is backed by a harmonious chorus, his voice of empowerment encourages listeners that everything will be alright, despite any challenges along the way.
Recorded live, "Alright" marks Melvin's first new radio single and made its debut with an early world premiere on February 16th on iHeartRadio Gospel stations across the country. "Alright" is written by KJ Scriven (Reginald K. Scriven II), Solomon Headen, and Temeric Khalil Morrison. Fueling "Alright" with his sterling vocals and exuberant praise, Melvin's high-energy live performance was recorded from his new album's sold-out live recording, which took place in October 2022 in Dallas, TX.
Melvin's upcoming second album marks his first live album recording, and follows on the 2020 release of his debut studio album, I've Got a Testimony, which included the #1 Gospel single "Wonderful Is Your Name," where he created a personal rendition to the classic song written by his late father Melvin Crispell Jr. Melvin's new hit rendition garnered GRAMMY® and Dove Award nominations, and following his debut album, Melvin was also nominated at the 2021 Stellar Awards, for New Artist of the Year.
Continuing a rich musical legacy and forging his own path, Melvin Crispell, III is the son of the late renowned Gospel composer Melvin Crispell Jr. and acclaimed Gospel singer, Tunesha Crispell. After facing the untimely passings of his father at the age of 16, and his mother when he was 18, Melvin has been able to navigate a rejuvenating path forward through his relationship with God, stepping out with his own voice, competing and winning on "Sunday Best," and continuing to grow his ministry as a singer, songwriter, and producer on his latest album.
Next up, catch Melvin performing live on select dates, including Disneyland's "Celebrate Soulfully" Gospel music celebration on February 18th in Anaheim, CA at Disneyland Park's Fantasyland Theatre, on March 19th in Rochester, NY at the Jesus Christ the Chief Cornerstone Ministries, and April 15th in Newburgh, NY at One Accord Christian Church.
