Abby Grimaldi Zooms Up the Chart with "Dreamer"
Christian pop artist Abby Grimaldi returns with her powerful new single "Dreamer." The song, which was released last Friday, has already been zooming up the charts. Currently, the song is sitting on #35 on the Christian iTunes chart!
Abby writes,"`Dreamer' tells the story of my happy childhood in North Dakota & the purity of my dreams. I was so unafraid. Things were so simple for so long that I never anticipated the hardships & heartbreaks that I'd face in my 20's, chasing my dreams & supporting those of my athlete husband. Bit by bit, the innocent dreamer within withered. She seemed so far away, & I missed her.
"But then God helped me realize something true: I still am that little dreamer, & I always will be. Even if she's older, wiser, & worn, she is still me. I made a promise to myself that no matter what happens, I will always remain the dreamer that I am. Creative, joyful, & free. I hope this song & video will inspire you to do the same, because life can happen, but nothing can ever take the dreamer out of you."
Abby entered the Contemporary Christian Music (CCM) industry in Nashville in early 2020, & formally launched her Christian Pop career by releasing a single, "Faith Funk" on April 2, 2021. Warmly received, it peaked at #35 on the Christian iTunes Chart & has amassed over 30,000 streams on Spotify, reaching listeners in over 100 counties.
Shortly after, Abby released singles "Givin' It Back" & "Home," with a music video for "Home," which was filmed in Nashville & co-starred Abby's husband, Rocco to celebrate their 5th wedding anniversary. Abby's 2022 release, "Better Off" has proved to be her most successful, charting in the top 50 on the Christian iTunes Chart & reaching 60,000 streams on Spotify.
Abby performs frequently in the Nashville area, & most recently performed at "Off The Charts" festival in her home state of North Dakota.
