Top 5 Anime Villains: Your Favorite Anime Villains Ranked According To Their Capabilities
Every story has its own hero and also has its own villain. We should however, keep in mind that the reason we love our heroes is because of the villain who challenges them and without them the story would be quite boring that's for sure. For those of you who love anime these are the characters that challenge your heroes. Let's see who left you anxious and flustered but at the same time got you hooked. These are the top 5 anime villains
1. Johan Liebert (Monster)
Well Johan leads the group. He is not just a villain, he is pure horror. He is an alluring, intelligent sociopath with his main goal being to kill everyone else in the world. It is clear that he is just crazy from his youth when he used stories to convince the other boys in his orphanage to kill the staff and also kill each other. As for killing, Johan takes it to another level we all know any other Anime villain can kill but then when it comes to Jonah, he makes it worse through his special skills that involve turning other people into monsters just like him. He does not use any form of magic to commit evil, he is a master of manipulation and his tools are words, wits, and knowledge of the human mind and he just shows how the human mind can be broken. Which makes him very scary.
2. Light (Death Note)
He is an egoistic character with a huge brain and has a death 'god's notebook' that has all sorts of commentary on power and mortality. He is seen as a good kid and was doing well in school and also had a bright future but after getting possession of the death notebook he changes and even though he starts with a noble course, he ends up questioning his moral sense and as the story continues he becomes full on overload of humanity. His character turns out to be really bad but somehow you end up wanting him to come out as the winner at the end of the story. He actually is the only villain who had a great deal of success in remaking the world as the villains saw it from their own point of view. He is able to outsmart all his challengers and rule from the shadows hence creating a world free of crime.
3. Vegeta (Dragon Ball Z)
Vegeta is the most famous bad-guy who turned not so bad of all anime characters. He starts out as an alien punk with a sadistic streak and a lowliness complex. He is one of the most well developed members of the Dragon Ball Z. He starts out as a stereotypical amine that hates and wants to destroy everything especially what others hold dear and love but later on he becomes a friend, a father and also a hero. He helps save the world, if he is in a good mood that day, from time to time and becomes ones of Goku's friends. However, he does fall of the wagon several times and gives into his addiction of being evil. Old habits do die hard and we see him going back to the old evil Vegeta we know. He gradually grows from villain to antihero to protagonist at some point which is very rare in most cases for characters to have such a development.
4. The Major (Hellsing Ultimate)
His character can be descried like a crazy Nazi commander. He just loves war and does not care whether he wins or loses. He loves the art of conflict and wants to see the world burn and throw a party while everything falls into destruction. You see those people who smile when they come in sight of human blood being shed and chaos? Well the Major is that kind of person. He is so articulate and clever that his insanity becomes more of an art to admire as he gleefully wallows in the horror of war.
5. Lucy/Kaede/Nyu (Elfen Lied)
Pure evil is what you can Lucy. She is just plain crazy and ends up being one of the crazies in the story. You can't blame her though as she has a really bad childhood were she encounters brutality and has a traumatic life as she grows in the orphanage. She is bullied by some brutal boys as she grows up but later on in life she gets fed up and reaches her breaking point and she ends up killing them at the same time learning that she has a talent for destruction when she uses her powers to kill the boys.
She becomes worse as she grows up and when she finally leaves the orphanage she goes from house to house killing families she finds on her way. Well every demon does have its weakness and Lucy comes across a boy called Kouta who has a certain calming effect on her however, they end up having some misunderstanding and the evil Lucy comes back killing pretty much everyone at a local festival. As an adult she manages to infect men with a virus that ensures that they father little girls who grow up to be demons and at around the age of three they kill their families. Talk of crazy huh!
With that said, these villains do make anime very interesting and make you wonder what they will do next keeping you glued to your seat.
