'Orange is the New Black' Season 3 Netflix Release Date, Laura Prepon Interview 'Fans Will Be Really Pleased with New Season'
"Orange is the New Black" Season 3 is in production, but while the release is still a long way off, fans are looking to get any insight into the upcoming season and what is next for the show. Fan favorite, Laura Prepon, who plays Alex Vause did a sit down interview recently sharing about the second season and what fans can expect for Season 3. She doesn't give away too much for the new season but she does share this.
Is there anything you would like to say your fans that have to wait for the Season 3 return of Orange Is The New Black?
"Honestly, I would say that the fans are incredible and the fans of the show are some of the best fans I've ever come across and that we will exceed their expectations in Season 3 and I think that they're going to be really pleased."

Alex Vause (Prepon) was not seen much in Season 2 as she was in hiding most of the season. "All the girls are so close, I feel like I never left," Pepron said. "Or like I was there all of season 2. We all wanted me to be there for more of season 2." You can watch two separate interviews above, one with "Access Hollywood" and another with "Big Morning Buzz" with host Nick Lachey as she shares about the series as a whole and gives some insight into "Orange is the New Black" Season 3.
All 13 episodes of Season 1 of the netflix original series "Orange is the New Black" released exclusively on Netflix July 11, 2013 and Season 2 released in June 2014. So it is pretty safe to say that "Orange is the New Black" Season 3 will release sometime in June of 2015.
The show is based around Taylor Schilling, who plays Piper Chapman that gets sent to prison 10 years after she got caught up in transporting drug money across international lines. "Orange is the New Black" is made by 'Weeds' creator Jenji Kohan, and is based on Piper Kerman's memoir of a year spent in prison.
"Orange is the New Black" became the latest hit series for Netflix after a surprisingly huge reaction to its first season this summer. Netflix has hit the right formula lately with the hugely successful "House of Cards" Season 1 & 2 releasing to great reviews as well. "House of Cards" Season 2 released earlier in 2014. "Orange is the New Black" Season 1 raised eyebrows for it's controversial yet honest portrayal of prison life for women that is not been discussed much in popular culture especially through a series.
