Zak Williams and 1 AKORD Enjoy a Banner Year
Stellar Award nominated choir Zak Williams and 1 AKORD is the Philadelphia-based choir with dynamic voices, passionate delivery, stylish swagger and a bounce that ignites the stage. Zak & 1A have experienced a great year in Gospel music with major appearances, radio hits, and a new album.
They released their REVISITED album this summer. The album has some of their favorite songs, unreleased treasures, and best-loved Gospel classics. REVISITED produced a Top 20 Mediabase Gospel Radio Chart hit, "Jesus I'll Never Forget," featuring Stellar Award-winning vocalist Lowell Pye.
They performed their hit "Jesus I'll Never Forget" on the 38th Annual Stellar Awards Pre-Show and hit the stage with Dottie Peoples, Isaac Carree, and Charles Jenkins for an electrifying performance on the televised 38th Annual Stellar Awards show, paying tribute to legendary Reverend Dr. Milton Biggham who received the James Cleveland Lifetime Achievement Award.
"Jesus I'll Never Forget" landed on the Mediabase 2023 Year-End Top Gospel Songs Chart at #45 and on the Billboard Year-End Gospel Airplay Songs at #40. This is Zak & 1A's first appearance on both Year-End charts and a first for an Enon Music Group artist. Enon Music Group (EMG) is one of the most decorated and fastest-rising independent Gospel music record labels. EMG is the vision of the label president Dr. Alyn E. Waller, senior pastor of Enon Tabernacle Church. The label is under the daily operation and development of Vice President Dr. Garland "Miche" Waller.
In addition to the album release, Zak & 1A offered the REVISITED DEVOTIONAL as a free download. The 14-day REVISITED DEVOTIONAL, based on the 14 songs on the album, helps you align your spirit with HIS and strengthen your faith while bringing wisdom to your everyday life. Zak and his incredible choir have worked hard this year, and their accolades are evidence of a group of talented, like-minded people who love Gospel music and sharing God's word through music.
Zak & 1A will kick off 2024 with their 20th Anniversary Concert and Video Recording on February 3 in Camden, New Jersey. Special guests include John P. Kee and Meta Washington from Kirk Franklin's Praise - Sirius XM Radio. Save the date for February 3 and get ticket information here.
