Written by Chat Sitze of Flat River Band, this track beautifully captures the essence of love, commitment, and the joy of being together in this heartwarming anthem. The melodic harmonies, coupled with the band's signature sound, create an emotional tapestry that will resonate with lovers and romantics alike.
"In this song, we talk about traveling everywhere and no matter where we perform, we always feel like we're at home," the trio shared. "In the words immortalized by Helen Keller, we find solace: the truest treasures, beyond sight or grasp, are those that stir the depths of our souls, felt only with the heart."
"Home Sweet Home" follows the band's previous single, "God Bless the Radio," which offers an anthemic tribute to the influence of radio on their lives. The group also released "Wings of a White Dove" in conjunction with Mental Health Awareness Month during May 2023. After experiencing tragic losses of friends and family, the band was inspired to write "Wings of a White Dove," to raise awareness for mental illnesses. A portion of the proceeds from the single were donated to the National Alliance on Mental Illness of Tennessee (NAMI) in support of their efforts to advocate for those affected by different mental health conditions.
Flat River Band consists of three brothers Andy, Chad and Dennijo Sitze, who grew up in a multi-generational family band. Performing alongside their parents and grandparents, they held residencies at Silver Dollar City in Branson, Missouri and at Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.
Throughout their tenure in music, the Missouri natives have charted #1 hits on the bluegrass gospel charts and have opened for The Chicks' Natalie Maines, Alison Krauss, Ricky Skaggs, Rhonda Vincent, TG Sheppard and more. The trio's songs can be found in the 2018 movie The Least of These, A Christmas Story, featuring Duane Allen (The Oak Ridge Boys), Deborah Allen and Tayla Lynn (Loretta Lynn's granddaughter). The band recently released a new five-song EP, Sights and Sounds, which has given the trio exposure in the spotlight of the Americana and Country formats.
