Kings Hill Music Names Billy Gaines as Director of A&R

Kings Hill Music has named two-time Dove Award-winning recording artist, actor, and best-selling author Billy Gaines as Director of A&R for the label.

"He is a legendary, Dove Award-winning recording artist, and has written and performed multiple No. 1 hit singles. For these and many other reasons, we believe he's the perfect fit for our label!"

"I have a deep-seated desire to help artists use their gifts to fulfill their calling from God."Gaines, who is also signed to the Kings Hill Music artist roster, will be headed to the NRB 2024 Convention in Nashville, Tennessee, next week, where he will be meeting with industry and media representatives from around the world in his dual role for the label. 

Gaines' new position at Kings Hill Music comes on the heels of the release of "Great Great King," his first single from the label, which debuted on the Euro Indie Music Network Chart in January 2024, peaking at No. 13. "Great Great King," co-written by music industry veteran Sal Oliveri, with Barbara Ann Jeter and Julie Butler Smith, was produced by Oliveri, and mixed by another music industry veteran, Scott Williamson. 

A masterful performer, Gaines' captivating, smoothly soulful voice has inspired audiences worldwide for more than four decades, spreading the gospel in song through television, radio, albums, and live performances. Along with his late wife, Sarah Gaines, he rose to prominence as an R&B trailblazer, garnering six No 1 singles on Contemporary Christian (CCM) radio, and a No. 2 video on BET.
The past several years have brought more remarkable opportunities for Gaines and his career, including his work with Emmy award-winning television host, actress, and singer Kathie Lee Gifford. Gaines played the acting/singing role of Moses in Gifford's 2022 movie, The Way. His performance of the song "The God of the How and When" was featured in the movie.

Other recent accomplishments include a string of No. 1 hits on the European charts in 2022 and 2023, including "There Will Come a Day," "World of Hope," "Bow in Awe," and "True to Your Word.".
Gaines also wrote his Amazon best-selling debut book, a memoir entitled Other Side of This Trial: My Story, His Plan, His Hand, which was released on November 28, 2023, by Eternal Heiress Publishing. The book hit the No. 1 spot on the Amazon Best Sellers in Biographies of R&B Artists chart and also on the Amazon New Releases in Contemporary Christian Music book chart.
