Tricord Offers a Spiritual Fight Song with Bold Single, "Whatcha Got"
Rockers in Tricord are offering listeners a spiritual fight song with their new single "Whatcha Got," available now through Resurrection Records. You can stream the single at https://lnk.to/WhatchaGot.
The high-energy rock song supported by electrifying synth patches seeks to embolden listeners who are facing spiritual attack. "Whatcha Got" was birthed through the band's own battles.
"It was inspired by a series of relentless spiritual attacks that we were enduring, causing us to feel beaten and worn out," lead singer Jermaine "Maine" Nixon reveals. "Despite how bad it got, we mustered up the courage to say, 'We stand on God's promises. What else you got?!'"
That defiant battle cry is delivered by Nixon on vocals, Robert "Rob" Edwards playing bass, Korey "Krash" Greer on drums and Charles "Strings" Martin on guitar. Jeremy Waller of Freedom Family Studios produced the track, with support from band bassist Rob Edwards. "Whatcha Got" is Tricord's second release in partnership with Resurrection Records, a connection that took shape in late 2023.
This latest punchy rock track continues the Georgia-based band's mission of meeting individual people where they're at, ministering to them in their life struggles. Although still early in their career, the band has already had the chance to see their music change lives.
"Our core mission is to create relatable music and cultivate the hearts of new believers in the kingdom. We speak truth, and that truth is Christ's identity over people's lives," Tricord's vocalist Maine Nixon explains. "We all know what it's like to go through real life. We want our listeners to know they are not alone. We want to encourage and motivate people to win this battle called life!"
In that ongoing battle that each of us faces, "Whatcha Got" is the perfect soundtrack to offering strength to keep fighting.
Nixon concludes, "It's a song that motivates us to know who we are, to say to the kingdom of darkness that we are not scared. We are ready for the battle!"
