Star Trek 3: All The Latest News On The Release Date, Spoilers, Script And Reports Of Star Trek 3
Star Trek 3 is expected to be released in 2016 with Paramount hoping to see it take off since that year marks the 50th anniversary of the late Gene Roddenberry's original sci-fi TV show which has become the basic for a multi-platform phenomena over the years since it aired.
This is what "Cinemablend" had to say about the movie and storyline. It's more of a synopsis.
"In [Into Darkness] they set out finally where the original series started. The first two films - especially the 2009 [Star Trek] - was an origin story. It was about them coming together. So they weren't the characters they were in the original series. They were growing into them and that continues on in the second movie. So in this movie they are closer than they are to the original series characters that you have ever seen. They have set off on their five-year mission. So their voyage is going to be in deep space."
Now J.J Abrams who directed "Star Trek" reboot and its sequel, "Star Trek into Darkness" will however, be only involved in a producer capacity at most on this third film. He currently has his hands full with the putting up of the VII Episode of Star Wars in order to make a December 2015 deadline. Joe Cornish, a filmmaker, is being viewed as the best replacement for Abrams. He is best known for the film "Attack the Block". Nothing has been written down officially all the same.
According to THR the U.S.S Enterprise's next to space mission in being penned down by Alex Kurtzman and Robert Orci. They have been the writers and producers of the last two instalments. Kurtzman however, is taking a pass on being onboard to script the third "Star Trek' but Orci is still onboard to script it. Screenwriters Patrick McKay and J.D Payne will serve as Orci's screenplay collaborators.
Some reviewers are wondering if this new movie will deliver more and they also do wonder of Orci will be able to make things happen.
"Can Roberto Orci boldly go where no man has gone before? Or are we getting the same stuff all over again? And is "deep space" too ambitious an angle for a first-time director, specifically one who has only worked on the writing side in a duo with Alex Kurtzman?" A post by "Cinemablend."
