Legendary Bruce V. Allen Authors Thought Transforming Devotional Book "Meditations"
With a music career spanning over 30 years, Bruce V. Allen of the iconic duo Allen & Allen has achieved Billboard Chart-topping status and won multiple Stellar Gospel Music Awards. After taking a short break from music while focusing on his pastoral assignments, the legendary Gospel, Jazz, and Funk fusion artist returned with a solo album, COME BACK, and his first literary release.
Bruce has released his first book, Meditations. He wrote the book from his personal accounts of failure, bad decisions, and a stroke he suffered in 2007 that took away his ability to play piano fluidly. However, Bruce found solace and healing by meditating on scriptures, which led to life-changing encounters with God.
His writings, aptly titled Meditations, are designed to engage the reader in a thought-provoking journey. Each chapter focuses on a scripture, with Bruce's 'Transformative Thought' providing practical insight and guidance. This selah moment, as Bruce calls it, is an opportunity for individual revelation.
"I'd love for people to get the book, and after reading it, think and allow the Holy Spirit to speak to them," states Bruce. "My prayer is that readers will be in a better space than when they started on this journey and that they will foster inspiration in their everyday lives."
Readers will find Bruce's new book relatable, spiritual, comical, and designed for flexible reading. Meditations is available now on Amazon and Amazon Kindle. His velvety smooth EP, COME BACK, can provide a tranquil atmosphere for Meditations reading. His five-song collection is the perfect synthesis of ear candy for Jazz music fans and spiritual inspiration for Gospel music lovers.
Bruce serves as a pastor at Open Arms Christian Fellowship in Jacksonville, FL. He holds a Bachelor's degree from Bethune-Cookman University, a Master's degree from the University of Phoenix, and an Honorary Doctorate of Divinity Degree from St. Thomas Christian College. Bruce completed the Summer Leadership Institute at the prestigious Harvard University School of Divinity. Additionally, Bruce will be honored as a 2025 Gospel Music Hall of Fame Missouri Inductee. The induction and awards ceremony will be in September 2025.
