Horizon Records Congratulates The Kingsmen on Dove Award Nomination
Horizon Records congratulates The Kingsmen, whose song, "Unstoppable God," is nominated for Southern Gospel Recorded Song of the Year at this year's Gospel Music Association Dove Awards.
Written by the group's former lead singer, Chris Bryant, with powerhouse co-writers Kenna Turner West and Jason Cox, "Unstoppable God," is a majestic affirmation of divine power that topped May's Singing News radio chart and served as the title of the storied quartet's latest album.
"What a thrill! We are both surprised and grateful!" says baritone singer Alan Kendall. "From the first Dove win in 1974 for Big and Live, through two more wins and 19 more nominations, the Gospel Music Association and the Dove Awards have always been kind to The Kingsmen."
He continues, "From the moment we all heard the demo for the first time, 'Unstoppable God' became our theme song. God has continually brought things into place for us that we never could have made happen ourselves. We're blessed with an incredible team, both onstage and off, and God continues showing us now more than ever how much bigger He is than our earthly circumstances. He truly is an Unstoppable God!"
Voting for this year's Dove Awards will be held August 1-8. Listen to "Unstoppable God" HERE.
