Integrity Music Unveils New Christmas Worship Music for the Season
Integrity Music announces this year's Christmas worship releases include fresh takes on classics and brand-new songs for the Church. New songs from Matt Redman, Thrive Worship, Selah, ICF Worship, Vineyard Worship, and a collaboration between Paul Baloche and Sarah Kroger will be released throughout the month of November.
Leading the charge is Matt Redman with his new original, "God The Son." Eight years had passed since his last Christmas release, and returning with "In Excelsis," an EP featuring Jon Guerra and Leonard Jarman releasing on November 15, he is telling the Christmas story through songs imprinted with beauty, resisting a sense of familiarity by bringing people into wonder.
"Songwriting is always about trying to sing a universal theme in a unique way," Redman commented. "This is no ordinary story - that the Creator entered into His world, at great cost, for the sake of love."
Thrive Worship's new single, "Hark," will be followed by their full EP, "Christmas, Vol. 2," on November 29. The 7-song project includes their new original, "What Christmas Really Is." Speaking of the new song, worship leader Corbin Phillips said that it is about "the legacy of faith and the ripple effect we can have when we choose Jesus over the world for generation after generation."
Paul Baloche collaborated with Sarah Kroger on "Angels We Have Heard On High/Glorious," releasing on November 22. This peace-filled medley captures the joy of the season and the invitation to reflect on it simultaneously as Baloche added, "As a local worship pastor I always try to find ways to include classic Christmas carols during the Advent season while still maintaining the prayerful, vertical aspect of worship that we're accustomed to throughout the year."
On the single front, Vineyard Worship will release "Royal Son" on November 15, a song yearning for the coming of Christ this Advent season. Accompanying the song is a special Advent devotional of the same name available on YouVersion from December 2, helping people journey through the season with meaningful reflection and worship.
Closing the season will be Selah who gave their song "Glory Hallelujah" a Christmas twist, featuring accomplished artist Mike Weaver. Originally written for their "One Name" album, the festive version of this song will be released on November 29. On the same day, Swiss band ICF Worship will unveil "Light of the World," a celebratory song on the coming of Jesus, the light that overcomes darkness and fear.
