2025 Gospel Hall of Fame Inductees Revealed

The Gospel Music Hall of Fame (GMHOF) proudly announces its 2025 Induction Gala Ceremony & Expo, to be held during Gospel Music Heritage Month on Friday, September 5, and Saturday, September 6, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the St. Louis Convention Center (701 Convention Plaza, St. Louis, MO).

This year marks a historic celebration with a record-breaking number of inductions, totaling more than 100 individuals-making the 2025 event one for the history books.

2025 Honorary Inductees & Lifetime Achievement Awards

The 4th Annual Honorary Inductees and Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award recipients include some of the most decorated and influential figures in Gospel music:

  • Kirk Franklin - 20-time Grammy Award winner

  • Yolanda Adams - 4-time Grammy Award winner

  • The Clark Sisters - with Elbertina "Twinkie" Clark (2-time Grammy winner), Karen Clark Sheard (4-time Grammy winner), Dorinda Clark-Cole (2-time Grammy winner), and Jacky Clark-Chisholm (2-time Grammy winner)

  • Erica Campbell - 6-time Grammy Award winner

  • Tina Campbell - 4-time Grammy Award winner

  • Warryn Campbell - 5-time Grammy Award winner

  • Dr. Jekalyn Carr - Grammy Award winner

  • Dr. Ricky Dillard, "The Choir Master" - 8-time Grammy-nominated artist

Posthumous Inductees

The GMHOF will also honor the legacies of trailblazing figures whose influence continues to shape Gospel music:

  • Dr. Whitney Houston - one of the best-selling artists of all time, whose Gospel roots shaped her global career

  • Dr. Cissy Houston - 2-time Grammy-winning vocalist, Drinkard Singer, Sweet Inspiration, and legendary solo artist

  • Inez Andrews - iconic contralto and member of The Caravans

  • Bishop Michael Alan Brooks - founding member of Commissioned

  • Ruby Summerville-Dickson ("Mother Ruby") - beloved St. Louis gospel radio personality and community leader

  • Al "The Bishop" Hobbs - pioneering radio announcer and GMWA visionary

  • Former Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee - champion of Gospel Music Heritage Month legislation

  • Keith "Wonderboy" Johnson - Grammy-nominated, Stellar Award-winning artist

  • Harold Lashaun Martin - award-winning producer and songwriter for Kirk Franklin

  • The O'Neal Twins (Edgar & Edward O'Neal) - trailblazers of quartet-style Gospel with classics like "Jesus Dropped the Charges"
