Acclaimed worship artist Chris Tomlin added a powerful note of hope and spiritual longing to the 2025 holiday season when he performed at Fox News's sixth annual All‑American Christmas Tree Lighting at Fox Square in New York City on Friday, November 21.

Tomlin - a Grammy-winning singer whose career has spanned more than three decades, earning him over 20 Dove Awards and two Billboard Music Awards, along with more than 20 No. 1 songs - expressed gratitude for the invitation, writing on social media, "I was honored to help kick off the Christmas season in New York. Thank you Fox News for having me at this year's All American Christmas Tree Lighting!"

The set included beloved Christmas classics such as "Angels We Have Heard on High," "Silent Night," "Joy to the World," "Christmas Day," and "Holy Forever." The performance came during a holiday-themed special segment featuring the lighting of the Fox News Christmas tree by network hosts.

In conversation with Fox co-host Steve Doocy, Tomlin reflected on what he called a growing spiritual hunger among people today. "I really feel there's an awakening going on in our nation," he said, adding, "People are longing for what's real. They are longing for peace, forgiveness - the things of Jesus. And this Christmas season, that's what we celebrate."

Tomlin also referenced his recent role leading worship at the memorial service for Charlie Kirk, describing it as "an incredible moment of time... pointing people to the truth of Jesus... in the midst of pain, in the midst of confusion."
