More than 2,000 people gathered to celebrate the life and legacy of Pastor Jeff Leake, honoring a man widely remembered for his deep faith, generous spirit, and unwavering commitment to seeing the Northeast transformed through the Gospel. The large turnout reflected the profound influence of a pastor who invested deeply in people, churches, and future leaders.
Family members, fellow pastors, and church leaders shared stories highlighting how Pastor Leake's encouragement and vision helped launch ministries and inspire countless individuals to pursue their calling. Many described him as a leader who believed in people long before success or evidence appeared - choosing faith over certainty and generosity over caution.
One tribute reflected on a defining moment in 2019 when Pastor Leake made an unexpected phone call after only one prior meeting. Through a connection with Brad Leach and Leah Leach, he chose to support a new church-planting dream in the Northeast, offering encouragement that became a pivotal moment for a growing ministry.
"That kind of faith and generosity changes lives," the tribute read. "He did not have to make that call. He did not have to say yes. But he did."
As longtime lead pastor of Allison Park Church, Pastor Leake became known for equipping leaders and fostering a spirit of collaboration across churches and communities. His passion for the region helped shape a movement of church planting and renewal that continues to impact lives throughout the Northeast.
Expressions of gratitude were also directed toward the Leake family and the Allison Park Church community for their enduring support and willingness to invest in ministries that may never fully reveal their fruit this side of eternity.
"To the Leake family and to Allison Park Church, thank you for believing in us before there was proof," the tribute continued. "Thank you for investing in something you might never fully see this side of heaven. We are forever grateful and forever indebted to you."
Though the faith community mourns a significant loss, the gathering served as a powerful reminder that Pastor Jeff Leake's legacy lives on through the lives he touched, the churches he championed, and the leaders he empowered to carry the mission forward
