Police are investigating after multiple gunshots were fired toward Rihanna's Beverly Hills-area home on Sunday afternoon, an alarming incident that unfolded while the global pop star was reportedly inside the property.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD), officers responded to reports of gunfire around 1:21 p.m. local time in the Beverly Hills Post Office neighborhood. Authorities say a suspect allegedly fired several rounds from a vehicle parked outside the property before fleeing the scene.

Law enforcement sources told media outlets that approximately 10 shots were fired, with at least one bullet reportedly penetrating a wall of the mansion. Police later confirmed that investigators discovered bullet holes in the property's gate and damage to a recreational vehicle parked in the driveway.

Despite the frightening situation, no injuries were reported, and Rihanna was unharmed.

Suspect Taken Into Custody

Police say the suspected shooter, described as a woman in her 30s, fled the area in a white Tesla shortly after the gunfire. Officers quickly began searching for the vehicle while a police helicopter assisted in tracking it.

Roughly 30 minutes after the initial 911 call, officers located the car in a shopping center parking lot in Sherman Oaks, about eight miles from the singer's home. The suspect was taken into custody without incident.

According to LAPD officials, a search of the vehicle uncovered an assault-style rifle along with several shell casings, which investigators believe were used in the shooting.

Authorities have not publicly identified the suspect, and the motive behind the shooting remains under investigation.

Neighbors Describe the Frightening Moment

Residents in the quiet upscale neighborhood said they were startled by the sudden burst of gunfire.

One neighbor told reporters the shots came in rapid succession.

"It sounded like bam, bam, bam - probably around ten shots," the resident said, describing how the noise echoed through the valley.

Another neighbor said the sound was unusually loud for the typically peaceful area.

"You don't expect something like that here," the neighbor explained, noting that gunshots can travel and echo across the hillside neighborhoods.

Rihanna's Family Home

The mansion reportedly serves as the residence for Rihanna and her partner, rapper A$AP Rocky, along with their three young children.

The couple share two sons, RZA and Riot, and recently welcomed a daughter in 2025. It was not immediately clear whether other family members were inside the home at the time of the shooting.

This is not the first time a property linked to the singer has faced security concerns. In 2018, a man broke into Rihanna's Hollywood Hills home and remained inside for several hours before being discovered by her assistant. The suspect later pleaded no contest to stalking charges.

A Global Superstar

Born Robyn Rihanna Fenty in Barbados, Rihanna rose to international fame with hit songs such as "Umbrella," "Diamonds," and "We Found Love." Over the past two decades, she has become one of the most successful artists in modern music.

Beyond music, the singer has built a powerful business empire through brands like Fenty Beauty and Savage X Fenty, helping her achieve billionaire status according to Forbes.

News of the shooting quickly spread online, with many fans expressing relief that no one was injured during the incident.

While investigators continue working to determine why the home was targeted, the event has sparked conversations about safety even in affluent neighborhoods. For some observers, moments like this also highlight the importance of community support, protection, and faith during uncertain situations, especially when families are involved.

Police say the investigation remains ongoing as detectives work to determine what led to the shooting and whether the suspect had any prior connection to the singer.
