Hollywood actor Zachary Levi is reminding audiences that even in the middle of fame and success, faith and God's love remain the most powerful truths in life.
The "Shazam!" star recently became emotional during an interview with CBN News as he reflected on the depth of God's love-a message that clearly still moves him deeply.
"Nothing can separate you from the love of God. Nothing," Levi said, pausing as the words seemed to hit his heart in real time. "Oh... feeling that one."
After taking a moment to gather himself, the actor admitted that while he firmly believes this promise for others, he sometimes struggles to accept it fully for himself.
"I believe that easily for everybody else," Levi explained. "But I struggle with believing it for myself, and I think that's a human thing."
Zachary Levi Says Shame Can Make It Hard to Accept God's Love
Levi shared that many people wrestle with believing they are truly loved and forgiven by God because of the shame, guilt, and criticism they carry.
"There is so much shame and blame and guilt-tripping on all sides," he said. "It's very hard to see yourself through the lens of God's love and grace and mercy and forgiveness."
But Levi emphasized that understanding God's love isn't just about personal healing-it's also about how we treat others.
"We must see that for ourselves," he said. "And we must see that for other people."
For many Christians, Levi's words echo the promise found in Romans 8:38-39, which teaches that nothing in all creation can separate believers from the love of God.
Faith Has Always Been Central to Zachary Levi's Life
Levi has never hidden the role that faith has played in his journey to Hollywood.
Raised in a Christian home, the actor has said he felt a strong calling to pursue acting from a young age-even though the odds of success in the industry were extremely small.
"The probability of becoming a successful actor in Hollywood is very, very, very low," Levi previously said. "But I believed in the faith that God had given me that this was what I was meant to do."
That faith eventually led him to major roles, including voicing Disney's Flynn Rider in Tangled and starring as the superhero Shazam.

"I grew up reading my Bible and David was the story that always stood out to me as the most epic," he said.
The actor even compared the biblical narrative to an epic fantasy adventure.
"It's like 'Lord of the Rings' in the Bible," Levi said, pointing to the battles, giants, and powerful spiritual themes in David's life.
A Reminder That God's Love Is Still for Everyone
For Levi, David's story is powerful because it shows that God's grace reaches people even in their brokenness.
Despite David's mistakes, Scripture still describes him as "a man after God's own heart."
That message of redemption is something Levi believes people today desperately need to remember.
And as his emotional moment during the interview showed, the truth still moves him deeply.
"Nothing can separate you from the love of God," Levi said again-reminding believers of a promise that has comforted Christians for generations.
