Recorded in Redding, California, the track carries a raw, analog feel-reminiscent of a hometown garage session captured straight to cassette-giving the song an authentic and intimate worship atmosphere. At its core, "Christ That We Lift Higher" is rooted in the truth that Jesus alone is worthy, calling believers to respond to grace by lifting His name above all else.

The song was birthed during a songwriting session in Costa Mesa at a Circuit Riders camp, where Harrison collaborated with David Brymer, Josh Miller, and Paul Garcia. Reflecting on the moment, Harrison shares that when the bridge-"it's Christ that we lift higher"-came together, the team immediately sensed the significance of the song. He adds that the track's Christ-centered focus and congregational accessibility made him eager to lead it in a church setting from the very beginning.

Now based in New York City, Harrison lives with his wife, Carling, and their twins, Jack and Frances, and serves as a worship leader at Bethel New York. His journey in worship began early, leading in his home church as a teenager before moving to Redding in 2017 to attend BSSM and serve at Bethel Church. After seven years there, he relocated to New York in late 2023, continuing his calling to lead worship with an emphasis on authenticity and a deep relationship with God.

Since its founding in 2001 by Brian and Jenn Johnson, Bethel Music has become a global worship movement, releasing 27 albums and impacting churches worldwide. With multiple Dove Awards and a GRAMMY® nomination for "Holy Forever," the collective continues to shape modern worship through songs that emphasize identity, intimacy with God, and Spirit-led expression.

"Christ That We Lift Higher" adds to that legacy, offering the Church a fresh, heartfelt anthem that centers worship where it belongs-on Christ alone.
