We have the latest for you on the start date, spoilers, casting, filming and rumors of Game of Thrones season 5. After the release of the season 4 of Game of Thrones, it left the fans of Game of Thrones with a lot of excitement. They are really anticipating the release of the 5th season. The Game of Thrones season 5 will shed some light about the characters though it is uncertain whether some of them are returning. One character whose return to the upcoming season is confirmed is Mance Ryder.
According to Ciarán Hinds who plays Mance Rayder, "On Games of Thrones I have not yet been roasted, crucified, slaughtered or whatever they do with people with that show eventually, so I will be coming back for shooting again in the 5th series." This is during an interview for a fan site. Mance was initially seen in the third season. He also appeared briefly at the end of season 4 where he submitted to Stannis Baratheon as both aid and ally. Apart from this, the shooting locations for the upcoming season have been leaked.
It is not a surprise that the production team will seek quests to find picturesque landscape as the backdrop of characters' adventures. It has also been confirmed by the crew about a wrap at Northern Ireland's Portstewarst Strand. It has also been reported that the crew is searching for other locations in Croatia and Iceland.
The finale of Game of Thrones season 4 had a very shocking but happy ending. The fans were excited as their favorite character, Tyroin Lanister escaped death and left King's landing for good, but this was before he killed his father. Fans are however, anxious to know what will happen to Tyroin and the consequences of Tywin's murder. George R.R. Martin has a book on how things will go for Tyroin. Through Sydney Morning Herald, Martin said, "So many readers were reading the books with so much attention that they were throwing up some stories and while some of those stories were amusing bull**** and creative, some of the theories are right." The filming of The Game of Thrones season 5 has already started and it is expected that the show will back next year on HBO sometime in April.
