The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt Release Date, Trailer Information And Gameplay News: Gameplay Footage Shown At 2014 Gamescom Shows Geralt Werewolf Hunting

We have the latest for you on the release date, trailer information and gameplay news of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt developer, CD Projekt Red dropped some gameplay footage of its title during the 2014 Gamescom this week. The action role-playing of the game seem to be shaping up nicely. Geralt talks to a resident of Downwarren, who tells him that the villagers have been disappearing. The cause of this is unknown but it appears in the Whispering Hillock. The resident says, "The war awoke an ancient power. An evil one that feeds on bloodshed. Nightmares haunt our nights and days."

Geralt is able to deal with a few enemies as he makes his way to the Whispering Hillock, where he comes across very powerful werewolves and regular ones too. This is where the clip ends which leaves the mystery of the villagers yet to be solved.

Jonas Mattson who is the Senior Environment artist working on the Witcher 3, reveals the terrain, landmarks and overall surrounding which are used as the reference of the game's environment. Mattson also explains the diverse landscapes which the players immerse themselves in when the game is finally released. The video clip released introduces the worlds of the Witcher 3 which include no man's land, the harsh climate of the Skellige Islands, the vibrant metropolitan of the North and Novigrad-behold.

 A character in depth carried out by the senior writer of the CD Projekt RED, Jakub Szmalek also introduces the mission and story of the game, Witcher Geralt of Rivia. It is expected that the game will go for $59.99 for the PC, PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game. Pre-orders are also accepted on the Witcher website.

The release of the game is expected on 24^th February, 2015 despite the series of postponed dates and push backs. With the trailer of the movie already out, it is expected that the game will be released as scheduled. The fans have waited for quite a long while and since the game will be released early next year, it is good to just be patient and wait for the release and see how it goes.
