One week after the death of legendary music executive Clive Davis, the man widely credited with discovering and shaping generations of superstars will be honored at an intimate, star-studded funeral in New York City.

According to multiple reports, Davis' private funeral is scheduled for Monday, June 29, in New York City. While the exact location has not been publicly disclosed, the invitation-only service will bring together some of the biggest names in the music industry to celebrate a career that transformed popular music for more than six decades.

Among those expected to participate in the service are Bruce Springsteen, Alicia Keys, Jennifer Hudson, Barry Manilow, Dionne Warwick, and Kenny G, with additional artists and industry figures also anticipated to attend. Rather than simply attending as guests, several of these performers are expected to take part in honoring the man who helped launch or revive their careers.

Davis died on June 22 at the age of 94 at his Manhattan home following an age-related illness, surrounded by family and loved ones. His passing prompted an extraordinary outpouring of tributes from artists spanning virtually every genre of music.

Few executives have left a mark on the music business comparable to Davis. Rising from lawyer to president of Columbia Records, he signed or championed artists including Bruce Springsteen, Janis Joplin, Santana, Billy Joel, Aerosmith, and Pink Floyd before founding Arista Records, where he helped turn Barry Manilow, Dionne Warwick, Aretha Franklin, Patti Smith, Whitney Houston, and Kenny G into household names. Later, through J Records, he introduced the world to Alicia Keys and played a key role in launching Maroon 5 while continuing to mentor artists such as Jennifer Hudson.

Known throughout the industry as "The Man With the Golden Ears," Davis possessed an uncanny ability to recognize talent before anyone else. Over a career spanning more than 60 years, he won multiple Grammy Awards, earned induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, and became famous for hosting the annual pre-Grammy gala-one of the music industry's most exclusive events.

The artists expected to honor Davis on Monday have each spoken emotionally about his influence in recent days.

Bruce Springsteen credited Davis with changing his life when he signed him to Columbia Records as a 22-year-old unknown. Barry Manilow described their five-decade relationship as family rather than business. Alicia Keys remembered him as the visionary who believed in her dreams before the rest of the world did, while Dionne Warwick praised his extraordinary instinct for recognizing greatness.

Although Davis is gone, the extraordinary roster of artists gathering to celebrate his life is perhaps the greatest testament to his enduring legacy. From Whitney Houston and Bruce Springsteen to Alicia Keys and countless others, few people have shaped the soundtrack of modern music as profoundly as Clive Davis. His influence will continue to echo through generations of artists-and the millions of listeners whose lives were touched by the music he helped bring to the world.
