One of TikTok's biggest tarot personalities has stunned millions of followers by walking away from her career, deleting years of content, and publicly declaring that she now follows Jesus Christ.
Alex, the creator formerly known as Alex Reads Tarot, shocked the internet after announcing she would no longer offer tarot readings because, in her words, "Jesus Christ has saved my life." The emotional video has already attracted more than two million views and sparked fierce debate across social media.
With nearly one million followers and more than 58 million likes built through tarot readings, Alex revealed that her decision came after nearly a year of prayer, reflection, and growing Christian faith. She admitted she had desperately hoped to reconcile her tarot practice with her newfound beliefs but ultimately concluded she could no longer continue.
"I don't know exactly what comes next for me," she said. "But what I do know is that Jesus Christ has saved my life, and I can no longer ignore that reality."
The announcement wasn't merely symbolic. Alex reportedly deleted virtually all of her tarot content, changed her TikTok username from @yourfiresignbestie to @alexintheordinary, closed her Etsy business that offered spiritual guidance, and said she will no longer provide tarot readings or sessions.
The dramatic move reportedly cost her tens of thousands of followers almost immediately, yet Alex said she feels an unexplainable peace despite the uncertainty surrounding her future.
"This hasn't been an easy conclusion," she explained. "It's been something that I've wrestled with for a while... but I simply know that I can no longer ignore what I feel and where I feel God is leading me."
The internet quickly erupted with reactions. Many Christians celebrated what they viewed as a powerful testimony of faith, with former practitioners of witchcraft and New Age spirituality welcoming Alex into Christianity and praising her courage.
