Thomas Rhett's family has another reason to celebrate-and this one is deeply personal.
The country superstar's sister-in-law, Macy, has reached a major milestone in her battle with breast cancer, announcing that she has officially completed chemotherapy after months of treatment and unwavering faith.
Sharing an emotional video from her final chemotherapy session, Macy described the moment as "the happiest day," writing, "I'm officially D O N E with chemo!!!!! Those words feel so surreal to say."
Although she acknowledged that surgery and likely radiation still lie ahead, Macy said she faces the next chapter with confidence because of God's presence.
"I have so much peace knowing the Lord has gone before me," she shared.
Macy first revealed her breast cancer diagnosis in February, documenting her journey with remarkable honesty and inviting followers to pray alongside her through each stage of treatment. Throughout the process, she has consistently pointed to her faith as the source of her strength.
Rather than allowing cancer to define her, Macy says the experience has transformed her relationship with God.
"All of this to say, I'm SO grateful. Like beyond grateful for this experience thus far," she wrote. "Cancer has completely changed me and has forced me to rely on God with every ounce of my being."
She went on to describe experiencing the Holy Spirit in a way she had never known before.
"I FEEL the Holy Spirit tangibly, and it's a feeling I just can't describe, and one I want EVERYONE to experience. It just gets me so fired up."
Thomas Rhett also shared the joyful news during a recent concert in Nashville, telling the audience that Macy had rung the ceremonial bell marking the end of chemotherapy just one day earlier-a symbolic moment celebrated by many cancer patients completing treatment.
The update reflects the faith that has long defined the Rhett family. Throughout his career, Thomas Rhett has openly spoken about his Christian beliefs, regularly weaving faith into his music and public appearances. In 2019, he famously led an entire awards-show audience in prayer for fellow country singer Kane Brown after Brown's drummer was killed in a tragic car accident.
More recently, Rhett has collaborated with Christian artists including Forrest Frank, Brandon Lake, and Chris Tomlin, continuing to blend his country roots with messages of hope and faith.
While Macy's journey is far from over, completing chemotherapy marks one of the biggest victories yet-and one she says has drawn her closer to God than ever before.
