David Jeremiah’s Granddaughters Grace & Xandy Talk Faith, Sisterhood And Sharing “A Little Love”

Sisters Grace Anne Jeremiah Baker and Xandy Jeremiah grew up singing at Shadow Mountain Community Church, where their grandfather, renowned pastor and author Dr. David Jeremiah, serves as senior pastor. Now recording as Grace & Xandy, the siblings are carrying that rich ministry heritage into a calling of their own. Following their 2024 debut, The Promise, the duo recently made their StowTown Records debut with Here Again, a 10-track collection blending modern worship, classic songs of faith and deeply personal originals. In this exclusive interview, Grace & Xandy open up about growing up together, finding their individual voices, serving Christ through music and the joyful message of kindness, mercy and grace behind "A Little Love."

Q: Grace and Xandy, for those who may be discovering your music for the first time, can you share a little about your upbringing and how growing up together shaped both your relationship and your love for music?

Growing up, we were surrounded by incredible worship music. We were exposed at a young age to artists like The Gaithers and The Martins, and we loved singing alongside the choir at our home church, Shadow Mountain Community Church. Every morning, we would get ready while listening to the same worship playlist, and somewhere along the way, singing together became one of our favorite things to do. We were then asked to sing "The Promise" as a duet at our grandfather's 80th birthday party, and we have not stopped singing together since!

Q: Your faith is woven into everything you do. How has your walk with Christ influenced not only your personal lives but also the way you approach your music and ministry as sisters?

Although we are sisters, we are very different in the way we approach life. The one thing we have always had in common is our relationship with Jesus, and that has shaped our music in unique ways.

Grace Anne is driven, confident and firmly rooted in the truth that her identity is found in Christ. That confidence comes through in the songs she connects with and the way she leads worship. Xandy is deeply empathetic and passionate about reminding people that they are not alone in their struggles. Many of the songs she writes begin with honest questions or brokenness before ultimately pointing to the hope and faithfulness of God. Together, those perspectives allow us to create music that is both honest and encouraging.

Q: When did you realize that God was calling you to serve Him through music, and what has that journey been like as a duo?

After leading worship at our home church, we had a conversation about our future. We agreed that if God wanted us to pursue music together, He would provide a way. Later that same month, we were given the opportunity to record our first studio album.

Being a musical duo-and also being sisters-has been an adventure. Grace Anne's logical and organized mindset keeps us focused and moving forward, while Xandy's creativity and enthusiasm inspire us to dream big. We balance each other well, and we are grateful that God uses our different strengths to accomplish something we could never do on our own.

Q: Your sound blends uplifting Christian messages with catchy, nostalgic pop influences. How would you describe your musical style, and what do you hope sets Grace & Xandy apart in today's Christian music scene?

Our musical style combines the fresh sound of modern worship with the timeless foundation of classic hymns. We want our music to be uplifting, biblically grounded and centered on the character of God. We hope listeners walk away with a deeper understanding of how much God loves them and how His Spirit empowers us to love others with greater grace and compassion.

Q: Your new single, "A Little Love," is a joyful, '90s-inspired anthem about the power of kindness, mercy and grace. What first drew you to the song, and what message do you hope listeners take away after hearing it?

We loved this song because its message is both simple and powerful. It is full of truth while still being the kind of song you can turn up and sing along with in the car. Our hope is that people finish listening with a renewed desire to reflect God's love, mercy and grace to everyone they encounter.

Q: Looking ahead, what can fans expect next from Grace & Xandy? Are there more new songs, collaborations or exciting projects on the horizon?

We are currently writing new music and working on several exciting collaborations that we are looking forward to sharing. We believe God is continuing to open doors, and we are excited to see where this next season leads as we keep creating music that points people to Him.
