Author Ronald K. Johnson has released a new devotional book designed to help Christians develop a deeper appreciation for the Lord's Supper and its significance in weekly worship.
Titled Devotional Thoughts on the Lord's Supper, the Offering, and Prayer, the book features more than 100 devotional reflections on communion, along with additional messages exploring Christian giving and prayer.
The collection draws from Johnson's more than 30 years of experience delivering weekly communion messages at churches across the country. Through these reflections, he encourages readers to look beyond the familiarity of the communion service and thoughtfully consider the meaning of the bread, the fruit of the vine and the sacrifice of Jesus Christ.
Rather than treating communion messages as brief remarks during worship, Johnson hopes to inspire believers to reflect more deeply on Christ's sacrifice and carry its significance into their everyday lives.
"I hope that they will remember the sacrifice of Jesus every day," Johnson said.
The book also addresses the importance of Christian offerings and prayer, offering readers additional opportunities to reflect on their faith and relationship with God.
