Minecraft PS4 and Xbox One Release Date UPDATE! Sony Shelve Minecraft as it Failed to Pass their Final Certification Test
The Minecraft PS4 and Xbox One release date has been move further. Gamers will have to be patient for just a little while before they can take their hands on this much anticipated game. The game is scheduled for release before the end of August this year.
Minecraft PS4 Issues
The main reason for the delay was due to some technical issues encountered during its game testing. According to a tweet from 4J Studios, the people from Sony found some glitches in the Minecraft PS4 gameplay.
4J Studio is the developer for the Minecraft PS4 and Xbox One version. Sony is the parent company of the PS4 consoles. The developer reported that they sent the Minecraft PS4 version last August 12 for game testing. It was during the tests that the glitches were discovered.
The studio tweeted, "We're fixing but we need to go through the process." Meanwhile, the PS Vita version is currently being developed. For more Minecraft PS4 news and updates, stay tune to 4J Studio tweets on their Twitter page or you can directly visit their website.

Breaking Xbox One News
Xbox One gamers will be delighted to hear that Minecraft will be available for their gaming console. So far, people from Xbox One have not yet issued any complaints or technical glitches on their Minecraft version.
Here's the Xbox One video of Minecraft that was unveiled during the E3 event:
Certification Process
The certification process of Minecraft for both PS4 and Xbox One is quite different. Xbox One needs only a single certification in order for the Xbox version of Minecraft to be released worldwide. This is not the case with the PlayStation console. Certification is per region, in which Minecraft will need to be certified separately in North America, Europe, Japan and so on.
Pricing, Freebies and Discounts
Based on The Fuse Joplin report, both the Xbox One and PS4 Minecraft games will be priced at almost $20 or $19.99 to be exact in the U.S. For those PS3 owners who already own the game, they will receive the PS Vita version for free.
For Minecraft Xbox 360 owners you can buy the Xbox version for only $4.99. Saved games in your Xbox 360 can be imported to the Xbox One. Similarly PS3 owners can also upgrade and get a PS4 copy as soon as it becomes available. The price of the game is the same with Xbox - $4.99. PS3 owners can easily import their game to PS4 console but not vice versa. The reason behind is the technical difference between a PS3 and a PS4.
