The Lego Movie 2 Release Date: Set for 2017 and Is Hyping up for a Third by 2019, Spider-Man Might be Swinging Side by Side with Good ol' Caped Crusader, Batman

 

Following The Lego Movie's $468 million success in the box office, Warner revealed that it gave the green light for a sequel to be aimed for a premiere by May 26, 2017 and a third film to follow by 2019. It will be produced by Dan Lin and Roy Lee and will be directed by Chris McKay who had co-directed and co-edited the previous movies. Lego Movie 2 rumors have also been circulating about the future participation of Jared Stern and Michelle Morgan for the upcoming coming movie as the screenplay writers.

 

The success of The Lego Movie proved to be a milestone for Warner Brothers as they have never succeeded quite well in the realm of animation.

 

Lego Movie 2 rumor has it that the original cast, which were Chris Pratt, Liam Neeson, Morgan Freeman, Will Ferrell, Elizabeth Banks and Will Arnett, will be returning to reprise their roles.

 

But it's not only the cast that has been slated in the Lego Movie 2 rumor mill. In fact, it would seem that we would be seeing old and new faces in upcoming sequel.

 

One of these rumors says that Spider-Man might be swinging side by side with our good ol' caped crusader, Batman. Though there might be a slim chance to have DC characters like Wonder Woman and Batman, the crew's hoping that someone might pull off a Roger Rabbit. In addition to that, it would seem that Lego Movie 2 may be seeing more 'space stuff' which means more screentime for Benny and his immense knowledge on spaceship-building. Whether these rumors would come into realization or not, only time could tell.
