Heartstone - Expansion Pack Release Date: Heroes of Warcraft New 100 Cards Available in the Next Expansion

The last time that the new expansion cards were released was during the Curse of Naxxramas. The senior game designer of Hearthstone Mike Donais revealed the details during a video interview in series finale of Value Town. He said, "It's not exactly 100, it's a lot of cards though...It'll be booster pack format."

No Adventure Mode in Next Expansion

It is disheartening to hear that the new expansion will not be in adventure mode like the Curse of Naxxramas. In the same interview, Donais told fans that the expansion is unfortunately, "not adventure mode, it's a lot of cards."

If that is not enough disappointment to hardcore Hearthstone gaming fans, Donais also confirmed the news that no new Heroes will be added to Hearthstone gameplay.

When asked about the expected release date, Donais would only say that Blizzard is "working super hard...sweat, tears, really hard."

Pending Hearthstone Platforms

As of the present time, the Hearthstone gameplay is only available in the Windows PC, Mac OS and iPad. The latest Hearthstone - expansion pack news may not sit well with Android and iPhone fans that are still waiting for their own Hearthstone platforms. Blizzard tweeted the coming release of Hearthstone for the Android and iPhone sometime this year. However, the game developer would not commit to an exact date.
