Orange Is The New Black Season 3 Premiere, Cast, Spoilers And Reports: Laura Prepon Confirmed As A Regular Character In The Third Season Of Orange Is The New Black As The Series Is Said To Be Netflix's Most Watched Show
We have the latest for you on the premiere, cast, spoilers and reports of the third season of Orange Is The New Black. "Orange is the New Black" is an American comedy-drama which was first aired on Netflix on 11th July 2013. Earlier this year, the series was renewed for a 3rd season which is expected to air sometime in June 2015.
Initially, there were uncertainties whether the actor Laura Prepon who plays as Alex Vause, would be returning back to the series as a regular cast member. Prepon's character is one of the most featured characters in the first season of the series mainly due to her relationship with Piper Chapman. During the second season, Prepon signed to appear in only one episode of the season. But thankfully, the Season creator, Jenji Kohan, has worked out an agreement with the star so that she will appear in four episodes of the upcoming season.
However, earlier this year in April, it was confirmed that Prepon would be returning for the third season as a regular character. Actually, Prepon herself broke the news to the fans by posting on her Instagram the season 3 titles. Since Prepon announced her regular appearance on her Instagram, Netflix has been backing up this claim and has confirmed that the actor will be returning to the series as a regular. The renewal of the series came as a surprise to many as it was done about one month before the season 2 of the series was even aired. The pre-renewal follows that of another series by Netflix known as "The House of Cards." It took place in February before the season 2 of the series had been launched.
Though surprising, the renewal of the series was expected as "Orange is the New Black" is said to be Netflix's most watched show, even more than the critically loved 'House of Cards" series. The series has been reported to be one of the most pirated series after HBO's "Game of Thrones." This is according to CEG TEK, which is a data service that tracks online piracy. A lot has been said about the series and the upcoming season. We only need to wait and see how the new season goes. We shall keep you up-to-date concerning this exciting comedy-drama.
