Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 5 Premiere, Latest News: Soap Stars Lisa Rinna and Eileen Davidson Join The Fray; But Something Crazy Need To Happen To Rev Up The Drama!
Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 5 premiere is expected to be ready for airing by January next year according to Bustle. Season 4 ended April and filming for the next season is already in progress.
Beverly Hills real housewives Lisa Vanderpump, Kyle Richards, Brandi Glanville, Yolanda Foster, and Kim Richards are all going to be seen back on the show. However, Carlton Gebbia and Joyce Giraud who joined the cast during Season 4 won't be returning for Season 5. Sources told TMZ, that the two were "just not involved enough in the series' story lines to justify their coveted spots in the cast."
The Bravo series has tapped "Young and the Restless" and "Days of Our Lives" actress Eileen Davidson as a cast member says The Wrap. Davidson won in the Outstanding Lead Actress category for her portrayal of Kristen DiMera on "Days," a role she will continue to reprise when she returns to the NBC soap this summer.
Davidson will be joining former "Days of Our Lives" co-star Lisa Rinna who was earlier added to the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills reality TV show for its fifth season. Rinna played the role of Billie on the daytime soap. Aside from the long running "Days of Our Lives," Rina also appeared on "Valerie," "Melrose Place" and "Veronica Mars," among other television credits. She was also seen competing in the second season of ABC's "Dancing With the Stars" and on Season 2 of NBC's "Celebrity Apprentice" as well as Season 6's All-Stars edition.
Adrienne Maloof, who left the show in 2013 after three seasons, will also be returning for cameo appearances on the upcoming fifth season according to US Weekly. She said, "I'm coming back, also, a bit wiser. I know what to expect now. There were some unfinished situations that I felt the need to kind of mend and come full circle."
Lisa Vanderpump who was earlier rumored to be leaving the show has confirmed that she will be back for Season 5. According to E!Online, Vanderpump posted a tweet message saying ""Well ok...Five has always been my lucky number, so we will see," she tweeted. "#rhobh Let the games begin." At the reunion segment of last season, she was seen having a falling out with the other housewives of Beverly Hills who accused her of spreading rumors and making backhanded comments.
A Bravo insider who's privy to production goings-on reportedly told Radar Online, "The girls shot in Santa Barbara this week and it was beyond boring. They need something crazy to happen to save this season.... This is the last thing Bravo wants, is a cast of girls who all get along. It's not what viewers tune in for... There's no drama, which means there's barely even a show for Bravo. The issue is that everyone gets along! It's horrible."
