HTC Butterfly 2 Release Date

HTC butterfly is a smartphone created by HTC, also known as High-Tech Computer Corporation, a manufacturer that was founded in Taiwan that initially made smartphones before 2009 for the Windows mobile operating system, then shifted towards the Android OS after that.

HTC butterfly was launched with the Android OS and was released 2 years ago in 2012, first in Japan and then to other countries. Its successor is the HTC butterfly S which was already released last year on June 19, 2013, and is said to be exclusive only to Asian countries and haven't been available outside.

The next in line is the latest HTC butterfly 2, said to be released in August of this year 2014, with many upgrades to the previous model. Some sources mention the release date to be on September 2, 2014.

Here are the notable differences and upgrades between the latest HTC butterfly 2 and its predecessors:

The HTC butterfly 2 resembles the design of the old model (Butterfly S) in its color and plastic, and resembles the HTC One M8 model in its shape and size.

It comes with a 5-inch touchscreen with a resolution of 1080x1920 pixels, a 5 mega pixel camera at the front and a 13 mega pixel camera at the back, an upgrade from the 4 mega pixel of the M8 model.

Inwardly, it contains a 2.5 GHz processor quad-core, Qualcomm Snapdragon 801, a RAM capacity of 2GB and an internal storage of 16GB, and also an expandable storage of up to 128GB using a micro SD.

Outwardly, it comes with 3 different colors to choose from: a glossy and vibrant red, and blue or white!

It is said to be resistant under water, and can survive in depth of a meter!
