Alive Festival 2013: Features Big Christian Music Line-Up, June 19- 22
This year marks the 26th Annual Alive Festival at Atwood Lake Park in Mineral City, Ohio. This year's line-up includes big names like Switchfoot, Skillet, Lecrae, Newsboys, NEEDTOBREATHE, Matthew West, Kari Jobe, for KING & COUNTRY, Audio Adrenaline, Colton Dixon, Rhett Walker Band, Capital Kings and much more.
Other performance artists that this year's festival will include Family Force 5, The City Harmonic, Tedashii, For Today, Sidewalk Prophets, Audrey Assad, Wolves At The Gate, Abondon, Mr. Talkbox, Project 86, The Wedding, KB, City Harbor, We As Human, Ascend The Hill, Children 18:3, Nine Lashes, Andy Mineo, Run Kid Run, An Epic No Less, Silverline, Finding Favour, OBB, Shine Bright Baby, We Are Leo, LoveLikeViolence, The Walking Tree, Lara Watson, Jonnie W, Come Wind, Nate Deezy, Hour 6 and New Method.
The festival features over 60 artists within a diverse span of genres including rock, alternative, rap, pop, modern worship, acoustic and this year's festival is even implementing a special indie artist showcase. Featured Indie artists include FUE, Andrew in Vienna, Forecast Light, 3 Shades of Blue, Circle of One, Good Hours, Adam Crozier, The Remnant, Higher Calling, Skywatch, The Undefeated and Secen.
The festival also offers over 30 seminars and workshops with nationally renowned speakers. The speakers include David Nasser, Tony Nolan Lecrae, Scott Dawson, Brad and Heidi Mitchell, Scott Lenning, Joel Davis, Chad Moses, Maddie Spielman and Dave Williams.
The mission of the festival is "to bring Christians together from various churches and denomination throughout the United States and Canada to celebrate out faith in Jesus Christ and be encouraged to live lives that honor God," according to the festival website. It also aims to provide high quality Christian entertainment at a beautiful recreational site for an affordable price and to bring the Gospel message to all who attend the festival. "Over 15,000 people have received Jesus Christ into their lives or made recommitments while at ALIVE Festival, and this number continues to grow every year," the website states.
The festival grounds at Atwood Lake Park feature 5 stages for performances throughout the festival, including performances at the natural outdoor amphitheater that accommodates up to 25,000 viewers and includes two large video walls. Other stages are the Beach State (for rock/alternative performances), the Woods State (for worship, acoustic and pop performances), the Indie Stage and the Family Fun Tent. The grounds also accommodate both RV and tent camping with both primitive options and electric hook-ups. The grounds span over 300 acres in and offer a wide array of recreational activities including boating, fishing and swimming. Restrooms and hot shower trailers are also available.
People are invited to attend the Alive Festival a single day, just the weekend or for the entire duration of the festival (four days). One day tickets, which accommodate any one-day festival admissions from Wednesday- Saturday, cost $45 for people ages 5 and up. Weekend wristbands cost $70 for children, ages 5-11, and $100 for adults, ages 12 and up. Total event wristbands (for all four days) cost $80 for children and $130 for adults. Only wristband purchases include primitive camping accommodations. All tickets include all concerts, seminars, speakers, swimming and parking fees.
For those who are camping, generator/ rv sites ($100), standard electric ($300) and premium electric sites ($400) are available. In addition, Hotel accommodations can also be made. Hot showers cost an additional $20 for unlimited showers from Wednesday to Saturday. VIP packages are also available for those interested.
