Sherlock Season 4 Air Date And Episode 1 News: Fourth Season Of Sherlock To Go Into Deeper And Darker Waters Than Ever Before
We have the latest for you on the air date and episode 1 news of Sherlock season 4. Sherlock season came to a close with its last episode 'his last vow' being an absolute hit and an awesome close to the season. Sherlock is a contemporary British crime drama created by Mark Gatiss and Steven Moffat with its main stars Sherlock Holmes and Dr. John Watson played by Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman respectively. The stunning TV series came to a close on season three and plans to film the fourth season are already underway.
On this previous Monday, the TV series was able to clinch three big wins at the Emmy awards with Benedict Cumberbatch scooping the best lead actor for a movie series in his role as Sherlock Holmes. It was not peculiar to also see his Supporting actor, Martin Freeman scoop the best support actor for a TV series for his role as Dr. Watson. The last episode, 'his last vow' which brought back Moriarty in the ending moments was absolutely award winning quality and indeed it did win an award. The co-creator, Steven Moffat, for the last episode did scoop the golden award for outstanding writing for a miniseries/movie.
Later on, the co-creator, Steven Moffat, was keen to spill some details about the upcoming fourth season and referred to their plan for the fourth season as devastating. He also mentioned that the cast to the series was practically reduced to tears when they revealed the plan to them and that they were absolutely ecstatic about what they have for the upcoming season. "Probably more excited than we've ever been about 'Sherlock', and we are a couple of fan-boys, so honestly I think we can," Gatiss was quoted by the Zap2it.
Steven Moffat also confirmed reports that have been circulating the web by saying that they would be starting the filming of the one-off episode in January 2015 and that later in the year they would be doing three more 'Sherlock' episodes though the production of the fourth season of the series was initially set to begin this autumn. He also jokingly wondered about how the 'how long the series was going to take' question would come and responded to it by saying that that is up to BBC to decide when they pen it off. "I simply do what they ask of me," he said calling himself a 'loyal servant' of the BBC. According to him, the fourth season was going to go into 'deeper and darker waters than ever before'. Surely that is music to the ears of the fans and we simply can't wait for its season premiere.
